If an adult student complains of feeling loss of control and abnormal movements in the fifth finger, suggest they consult their doctor. Typical symptoms include an uncontrollable raising of the fifth finger, generally accompanied by a strong feeling of loss of control. ![]() When teaching technique to adult students, piano teachers should be aware that raised fifth fingers can be a symptom of focal dystonia. This is very rare and occurs almost exclusively in adults who are working quite intensively at the piano.įocal dystonia is a neurological condition which becomes harder to treat the longer it is left undiagnosed. The ‘Parachute Touch’ reinforces a controlled use of gravity, followed by complete release of any pressure of the keybed. Top & Bottom Row We must practice our typing from the home row to slowly improve our muscle memory. These keys are the reference points from which we can easily memorize the positions of the other keys in relation to them. If this is case, it’s worth practising my ‘Parachuting’ onto the fourth finger so the fourth finger feels firmly supported. Our fingers on the left hand on the A, S, D, Fkeys, and the right hand keys are J, K, L, and the semicolon key ( ). Pinky stiffness is often a compensatory reaction for weakness and lack of stability in the other fingers, especially fourth finger. Avoid the temptation to settle your wrists onto the wrist pad that’s for breaks between typing, not when you’re actually pounding the keys. Your wrists should be floating above and parallel to the keyboard. The playing finger rests firmly on the keybed acting as the pillar of the hand while the other fingers just hang loosely, resting passively on the key surface. ![]() This means that every single casualty has long-lasting detrimental effects on your campaign and units them suffer them will need to be reinforced or replaced by spending your hard-earned prestige. Scenarios offer a set of objectives that must be accomplished within a deadline and the units, prestige, and experience carry over from one to the next. ![]() Those who’ve played Panzer Corps will find the campaign setup quite familiar. With five campaigns and plenty of scenarios, you’ll find yourself in a variety of climates. ![]() The last thing you want to do is fight in the woods and mountains if you’ve focused the majority of your energy on improving your armored divisions. Instead it simply offers an overview of the challenges that you may face with each approach and what you’ll need to prepare for, an important choice if you’ve specialized your forces in a certain direction. Although an earlier build had direct mechanical benefits for choices (Poland offered prototypes for the north and increased prestige for the south), it seems this was scrapped and your choice no longer offers such benefits. Poland, for example, has a northern and southern approach that you can take which will give you two separate experiences with different scenarios and challenges to overcome. There are several campaigns available and they frequently offer choices that can alter the path that they take. It’s quite an accomplishment to develop a game that is so well designed that the majority of its flaws go under the radar until they’re later revealed by its own sequel’s improvements, but Flashback Games did just that. Seemingly everything was improved at least a little and I found myself instantly hooked. Yet I was pleasantly surprised (maybe even ecstatic) when I began my invasion of Poland in Panzer Corps 2. Needless to say, I wasn’t sure how it could be improved upon enough to warrant a sequel and was skeptical that there would be enough that was new to make its price tag worth it. With a robust selection of units complete with a wide variety of strengths and weaknesses, determining the right tool for the job is a must to ensure that you don’t run out of resources and doom your campaign. Scenarios are tense throughout, resources and time are limited, and although your forces are always improving, so too are your enemies’. As far as tactical wargaming goes, I struggle to think of a title that did a better job of representing it than Panzer Corps.

When I wear it lower, I feel that the thigh waist ratio isn’t working great for my body type. I cannot wear the high tapered as high as I probably should. Small differences matter more than people would think, especially when it comes to proportions and ratios. I own the Ten High Tapered from them and I would like to attempt something of an analysis why this cut is something Tanuki needed to do: I spoke with a friend who said, the measurements don’t look that different from Tanuki’s high tapered. The shorter inseam (-4cm compared to the high tapered) is something that comes in handy for me as I don’t have the longest legs anyway. The thighs are roughly 2cm wider which adds a lot of mobility and comfort to this. I think I am pretty versed in most things Tanuki, so I will just go out on a limb and say this is a new cut! The rise is slightly lower than the high tapered (roughly a cm) but it’s the wide thighs that make all the difference. You know what, screw it, I am not even ashamed to say that :D The thing that might be interesting for some of you is the cut. It will sound like a fetish, but it’s hard to stop touching this fabric. It honestly looks like the the slubby yarns are having a fight or something. Not much to say about the fabric itself: most people who have handled this iteration of the secret denim will probably agree that this is something else. I tend to write too much so I will try to keep this short. I recently had a lengthy discussion about tapered vs high tapered cuts from Tanuki and when I went to Tanuki’s web shop, I found this pair that I have not seen announced anywhere. ![]() ![]() Considerate, because I appreciate how they put a signal up – that zigzag weave down the middle – so that birds won’t fly into their webs. This is the "considerate" Black and Yellow Garden spider. It has a leg span of about 2 1/2 inches with a white area near the head. However, take this yellow and black colored garden spider. These spiders are also very poisonous, aggressive and hide in soft places like the arms and legs of clothing, bedding or pillows. If the spider you find is brown and smooth with a violin-shaped pattern on its back - then the spider is most likely a Brown Recluse. These spiders have extremely poisonous venom, and make their homes close to the ground near rock piles, decaying wood or small cracks and crevices in walls and the like. So, look at the coloration of the spider - if it is black with a red hourglass-shaped pattern on its underbelly, then it is almost certainly a Black Widow. I try to keep an eye out for Black Widows and Brown Recluses. I like to remember how to identify two spiders in particular. Many are harmless but some of them are poisonous. There are many different types of spiders. Now of course, if you’re arachnophobic – doing the exact opposite of all of the above will encourage the spiders to shuffle off to the neighbors’ yard. When I leave a terra cotta pot lying on its side in the garden, inevitably a garden spider will build a web and catch his/her dinner there. I have found that the underside of broad leafed perennials like hostas make good homes for smaller spiders too. Also popular are fences, trellises, and any shrubs that are planted closely together. So how do you create a garden that is hospitable to spiders? Tall plants like purple coneflowers make good places for spiders to build a web. I cannot help but cheer watching a spider catch a wasp or an earwig. These little creatures can spend all day rebuilding a web after it has been damaged in the hopes of catching yet another meal. Observing a garden spider is both thrilling and meditative. I don’t know about you, but I’ll pick the spiders over the skeeters. Those webs that you may not like walking into are in fact, great open nets for catching flies and mosquitoes. Garden Spiders – A Biocontroller’s Secret Weapon I really don’t recommend it because there are many spiders that are helpful around the garden, especially when it comes to combatting insect pests. Is the drought in your area getting to you this summer? Old folk lore says that if you step on a spider, then it will rain. ![]()
